Milkshake

This is a video I have found on youtube that features our chosen song. This video stood out to me as related to our theme as the video plays on the sexual theme to create a comical effect. The video has taken things that would genrally be done by attractive women and put in a typically overweight woman to create comedy. The video starts with the woman opening the doors as if she is on a mission. Normally it would be a good looking lady who the males would fall over because she is so attractive however her pushing the door open so hard pushes the male over. There is a close up shot of the girls bottom which could be interpreted as the male gaze. However, The girl then procedes down the road and dance infront of builders who look horrified creating comedy from the opposite of the male gaze. A connection to history is made when she stands over a drain blowing her skirt up as if pretending to be Marilin Monroe. The girl doesn't seem fazed when one of the builders shoots himself in the head also creating a comical effect. The expression the girl makes shows that she doesn't care about her weight and is embracing the sexy side. The music continues to play in the background as the girl spots an over weight man and they run towards eachother. Mor comedy is made as the man runs straight passed her and dances with another man. The girl then cartweels towards a fire engine which is comical because the audience do not expect it from an over weight girl. The fire men then notice the girl and use the hose from the fire enginee to push the girl away along the floor however she embraces the water and uses it to try and be sexual. Slow motion is used to show her whipping her hair. The clip ends in a comical way as the girl is dancing and her breasts get twisted behind her back. The man admiring her screams.
